The small group of three had started early that morning, gathering their papers and bringing them down to the rites offices, but now it was time to perform. Chobin’s tail lashed behind him in a nervousness that he refused to show on his face. He turned to the other two who he would be joining him that day and offered a weary smile to them both.

“Is good day for this, yes?” He ask as he pet Boris, readying him for the trek ahead. He was trying to spark a bit of a conversation despite his broken English and thick Russian accent.

“It is,” Leneai nodded with a reassuring smile, peeking above Skeeva. “Don’t worry,” She said, nodding towards his flicking tail. She had learned from Calcifer that certain movements of their animal body parts could give clues as to how a person is feeling. Chobin with his lion tail and ears, and Calcifer with his half feline lower portion. “All you have to do is treat it like any other daily walk with the Tokotas.”

When Luke came riding up to the group atop of Moonlight, “I think we’re all set,” He said, motioning towards the mountain range before them like he was the leader of the small group.
